When I awoke, all the currents were in play
Somehow everything feels different today
Dangerously leaking, my outer shell stood still
Suddenly I find myself far from Gavenda Hill
Construction, off the shore
They build and they burn what I used to explore

I remember the most calming place I'd ever been
It was a long time ago, but relaxing deep within
Does anyone, anyone really know that I'm here?
I'd ask out loud for what seemed like years
Stranded, yet rowing away
Marooned, but apogees slowly stir the bay

Lock the footing in the sand, I'm standing up once again
Saving every countless night, High tide is right

I never see myself all the way around
Vision's always blurred and it's hard to hear a sound
Once the home was steady, it could easily be endured
Clearly gale force wind repeated itself before
Pride, in evolutionary leaps
Fourteen days allowed between springs and neaps

Lock the footing in the sand, I'm standing up once again
Saving every countless night, High tide is right! Yeah!
